I have tried a number of Bluetooth headsets over the years and my favorite that I have been using for the last couple has been the second generation Jawbone. For the last few days I have been testing the latest generation device from Aliph that was announced today, the Jawbone ICON. Asus isn’t working on just one e-book reader: they’re working on a series. Now there’s word about the DR-950, which might not be in color, but it looks like a decent (and more importantly, affordable) entry into the e-book reader market. Details on Asus’ second (known) e-book reader spilled this morning. Electric Pig is reporting that the newest e-reader will sport a 9-inch Sipix touchscreen (1,024 x 768 resolution), displayed in 16 shades of gray. The web browser is able to alternate between portrait and landscape display. Some of the highlighted features include text-to-speech ability (supporting 26 languages), virtual keyboard and an RSS reader. Last Thursday’s announcement that SAP has modified its customer support offerings came just as I was boarding a plane. While I was able to hear most of the analyst call, I didn’t have time to think it all through until now. At first glance you’d be forgiven for focusing on the surrounding message that SAP has been listening to its customers and that this therefore represents a victory for customers. In one sense it is. 2010 is going to be SAP’s year about ‘Voice of the Customer’ so for CEO Leo Apotheker, this was a good opportunity to put a stake in the ground.
